Since 1995 the Italian Environmental Protection Agency & Technical Services (APAT) and the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the San Luis National University (Argentina) have participated in research collaboration programs in Radioecology.
In the framework of this institutional collaboration, since the year 2000, the triennial program "Modeling Environmental Processes" is being executed.
The main topics of the joint research are:

-Radionuclide vertical migration in soil
-Radionuclide soil-to-plant transfer process
-External irradiation in air from sources in ground
